Thank you for your interest in Lightbridge Academy of Montvale, NJ! Lightbridge Academy of Montvale is owned by Ram & JoAnne Jagadeesan. Ram & JoAnne also own Lightbridge Academy in Elmsford, NY, and are excited to expand their partnership with Lightbridge Academy. Ram & JoAnne decided to open a center after their own experience with Lightbridge Academy. All three of their children attended Lightbridge Academy from 6 months to 5 years old. Ram and Joanne fell in love with their parent experience, so they decided to provide that level of care and education to other families as well. They are both very excited to serve the community and bring the same experience to many families as they had as parents. The Center Director Sue Gewelb joined the Lightbridge Family in the spring of 2025. Sue has an extensive background in education. She brings a wealth of experience in early childhood and a passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Sue holds a degree in Special Education with a concentration in Early Childhood. Sue has been trained in Montessori methodology; Sue has over 25 years’ experience as an educator working with children and families in all types of settings. Sue lives in Suffern, New York with her husband, and their pup. Together they have raised two fabulous children who are now thriving young adults. Sue is also a Grammy to a beautiful and precocious 4-year-old who is also a Lightbridge attendee in another center. She seeks to provide the best quality care for all families in a safe and loving environment. She looks forward to creating a fun learning environment while maintaining the Core Values of Lightbridge Academy.

Our Seedlings curriculum focuses on the whole child, incorporating areas such as writing (Handwriting Without Tears), language and literacy, social and emotional development, STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, art, math), and utilizing the outdoor learning environment for collaborative learning and play. Our center also offers state-of-the-art technology, including a touch less entry system, interactive whiteboards, Parent View® Internet Monitoring, and Lightbridge Journey App, our e-communication system. These tools all help us reach our goal of keeping parents connected to our center and their child throughout the day. We strive to meet the needs of our working and stay-at-home parents who are seeking a program that will offer early education and socialization for their children on a full or part-time basis. To do so, we offer our families flexibility in programming, ranging from 2, 3, or 5 days per week for children ages six weeks through Preschool/Pre-K.
