Infant daycare program curriculum

Explore Lightbridge Academy’s high-quality daycare for newborns near you. Your baby’s day will be filled with learning through play that encourages them to safely explore the world around them. Our program is more than just baby daycare. Your infant will experience our theme-based curriculum that stimulates development in multiple areas:

*The ages of children in our programs varies based on local and state regulations as well as the unique needs of each child.

Fine motor skills

Clapping their hands to music, picking up finger foods and holding on to their favorite toys all help babies build dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Language

American Sign Language is used to reduce pre-verbal frustration by helping babies express their wants and needs. This closes the gap between their ability to communicate and having their needs understood while also helping language skills grow.

Movement in space

Crawling, exploring their environment, and taking their first steps all help babies get stronger from head to toe.

Social and emotional

Our teachers use smiles, embraces, and encouraging words to build trust and help children thrive in social situations, setting them up for healthy relationships.

Cognitive

Stimulating brain function helps infants build skills such as object permanence and rationalization.

Extra support for nursing mothers

The transition from maternity leave back to work can be especially challenging for breastfeeding moms. Lightbridge Academy’s BottleBridge® certified** caregivers help support nursing infants and their moms, bridging the gap as they make the transition to newborn daycare. Our infant caregiving team has expert knowledge in:

  • Building relationships with nursing moms
  • Respecting a mother’s decision to breastfeed
  • Proper feeding of bottle-fed expressed milk
  • Understanding the benefits of breastfeeding
  • Proper handling and storage of breast milk

You know what’s best for you and your baby. We support every mother’s personal decision, whether it’s nursing, bottle-feeding breast milk, or providing formula.

**This Lightbridge Academy exclusive certification program is certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) and based on the collective information provided by institutions such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
